Desperate to cling onto life Volac swore pacts and made deals with ancient beings of unspeakable evil. Once a proud wizard dedicated to healing and caring for the weak, his fear of death drove him mad. Shunning others, Volac hides away in the dark places practicing his arts, Necromancy and other vile magics in a vain attempt to banish death."Cackling with maniacal glee, Volac wiped spittle laden blood from his gnarled lips. Grey light danced around him in a macabre ritual. The rat had been dead for an hour but its soul still lingered. Pulling the ruines animal towards him the laughter rippled from him again. He would awaken this pet and then he would be master of death."
